ADPA LECTURE SERIES
|
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Alcohol and Drug Program
Administration and the
Pacific Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center
hold a quarterly lecture series on current topics of interest in the substance abuse treatment and research worlds.
Leading researchers and treatment practitioners provide attendees with state-of-the-art, evidence-based information on substance
abuse treatment and prevention.
The Lecture Series currently provides continuing education units for counselors, clinicians, nurses, and other professionals in the
substance abuse field who attend the lecture.
UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs meets the qualifications to provide
continuing education credits for MFT/LCSW as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (MFT/LCSW, PCE2001).
CE credits will also be provided for CAADAC (C.A.D.C., 2N-00-445-1107), BCAS/CARR (C.A.S., 5033), and CAADE (C.A.T.C., CP20 809 C 0710).
ADPA is pleased to offer free, web-based presentations to help you obtain the most current information available in the alcohol and drug
field. The presentations are provided to you in two forms: PowerPoint and MediaSite.
MediaSite files are large and simultaneously feature both the PowerPoint slides and video of the speaker. Windows Media Player is
required to view MediaSite files and is available for free download
here.
Because MediaSite files are large, it is recommended that only those with high-speed internet access view them.
PowerPoint is not required to view the PowerPoint files. These files are smaller, so those with dial-up should select the PowerPoint option.
Not finding what you need? Having trouble accessing the files? Contact Alex (abruehl@ph.lacounty.gov)
or Sandy (sasong@ph.lacounty.gov) from the Lecture Series team to request assistance.
