Healthcare workers listed* in theHealth Care/Public Health Sector of the CA Essential Workforce if they have one of the following occupational risks/critical functions:
Those at risk of direct patient exposure from their clinical and non-clinical roles
Those who come into direct contact with the virus through research, development, manufacturing, or testing
Those who are manufacturing vaccine, therapeutics, devices, supplies or personal protective equipment
Workers that manage health plans, billing, and
health information
Workers supporting operations of outdoor
recreational facilities for the purpose of facilitating
physically distanced personal health and wellness through
outdoor exercise
Cannabis industry employees working in Food and
Agriculture for growing, production, storage, transport and
distribution (eligible in Phase 1B, Tier 1)
Workers supporting veterinary services (eligible in Phase 1B, Tier 1)
Residents of skilled nursing
facilities (SNFs)
and other long term care facilities
(LTCFs)
are offered vaccine at their
facilities. (LTCF are facilities that provide medical and personal care to adults, such as assisted living facilities and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals, and special needs group living facilities)
If you started your vaccination
as
a resident of a LTCF but left the facility,
you can make an appointment for your
final dose at a location on this
webpage. Be sure to check that it
offers the same kind of vaccine as
your first dose.

Courts/Legal Counsel & Prosecution staff who are required to be in-person at court routinely and interact with clients in correctional facilities.
Includes judges and court administrators/staff, and staff who work in the Public Defender’s Office, Alternate Public Defender, District Attorney’s Office

Federal law enforcement agencies

If you are age 16 or 17 and are eligible to be vaccinated, look for a
vaccination site that offers the Pfizer vaccine. (The Moderna
and Janssen vaccines can only be given to people
age 18 years and older). Currently, people under age 16 cannot be vaccinated.
If you need an appointment for a second dose, only make
an appointment at a location that is offering the same
vaccine as your 1st dose.

Public Health - Point of Dispensing (POD) Sites
The Public Health Mega-PODs are large scale vaccination
sites. They are drive-through only and are being held daily.
The regular Public Health PODs held at the Balboa, El Sereno,
and Antelope Valley Health Center
sites are not drive-through. You can drive and park, arrive
on foot, or come by public transportation or rideshare.
UPDATE: All DPH
Regular PODs, as well as the MegaPODs now offer
the
Pfizer vaccine.
L.A. City Fire Department - Point of Dispensing (POD) Sites
The Dodger’s stadium, Hanson, and Crenshaw vaccination sites
are drive-through only. The other sites are walk-up so you can drive and park, or arrive on foot, by public transportation or rideshare. All
the sites offer the
Moderna vaccine
EXCEPT Pierce College which offers
the Pfizer vaccine.
All vaccinations are by appointment only. There is a central appointment
system to register for all the sites run by LA City Fire Department. Please be advised, Public Health is unable to provide information on appointment availability.
Second Dose: If you have already received a vaccine at a location run by LA City Fire Dept., you will receive an email and text from Carbon Health with information about your second appointment. For more information, please see the Carbon Health COVID-19 vaccination webpage.
Vaccination is offered by a variety of community healthcare partners including Federally Qualified Health Centers. Please check the listings carefully as some locations offer the
Moderna vaccine and some offer the Pfizer vaccine.
All vaccinations are by appointment only. Please be advised that Public Health is unable to provide information on appointment availability for the Kedren, UCLA,
Kaiser, Culver City/West Side, St. John's,
Henry Mayo, and El Camino College locations.
Pharmacies
All the pharmacies are offering vaccine by appointment only.
You will be given an appointment for your second dose when you get your first dose of vaccine.
Albertsons Pharmacies
All participating Albertsons locations offer the Moderna vaccine.

The type of vaccine offered varies according to the CVS location.
Appointments can be scheduled online or via the CVS pharmacy app. Eligible individuals without internet access can call CVS at 800-746-7287 for assistance on scheduling.

Preparing for your appointment
In order to be vaccinated, you will need to show:
Proof of identity,
and
Proof that you live or work in LA County,
and
Proof that you are in one of the eligible groups.
There are many ways to show that you are eligible to be vaccinated. Below, is a list of documents that will be accepted.
This list is not complete and other documents may be accepted unless otherwise stated.
You do not need to show government issued ID and you do not need to be a US citizen to get a vaccine.
Consent for minors: Minors (age 16 and 17) who meet the eligibility criteria can receive the Pfizer vaccine. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can provide consent for vaccination. The Moderna and Janssen vaccines can only be given to people age 18 years and older
Required Documentation for Vaccination Appointments
You must bring document(s) to show all 3 of the following:
(Note: one document may cover more than one requirement e.g. a healthcare worker badge with photo and an LA County workplace would meet all 3 criteria).
Photo ID
(does not have to be government issued), and
Proof that you live or work in LA County (if your other documents do not include your home or work address, see
list for acceptable items),
and
Proof that you are a healthcare worker. Examples include:
Healthcare worker or student badge with photo
Professional license
Payment stub from
employer with your name
Letter from a California Regional Center noting that you are a healthcare worker status (letter must include your name and an attestation that the person you care for has a qualifying intellectual or developmental disability as per the Department of Developmental Services (DDS)). Note: medical documentation of the person with the qualifying condition will NOT be accepted.
Community Health Workers (CHW) and/or associated volunteers: letter from your employer with the name and address of the business or entity that you work for, and an attestation that you are an eligible CHW. Eligibility for CHW or volunteers include:
Currently on staff to conduct COVID-19 outreach in the field to promote COVID-19 safety,
do contact tracing, or
provide information about the vaccine (excludes staff who are doing virtual outreach only or providing any other type of administrative support for the project)
Outreach work in communities with high rates of COVID-19 (i.e., agencies assigned to priority communities with highest rates of COVID-19 by Public Health)
Outreach work is aligned when possible to connect with individuals, organizations and communities in proximity to recent COVID-19 outbreaks specifically to link symptomatic or at-risk individuals to care, testing, and vaccination.
(Volunteers must work for at least 20+ hours a week in one of the areas noted above in order to be eligible)
Massage therapists – a massage therapy license is the only acceptable documentation.

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before for your appointment.
Plan to stay at the appointment for at for approximately
one hour. This includes 15-30 minutes for you to be observed after you receive your vaccination.
Read the information about the vaccine that you will be given that was in your appointment confirmation. It may be helpful to write down any questions.
Do not stop your routine medicines before getting vaccinated, unless your doctor recommends it.
