Scabies Toolkit: Acute and Long-Term Care Facilities

The toolkit was initially developed in 2009 by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Scabies Task Force in response to the increased number of scabies outbreaks that occurred within acute and long-term care facilities in Los Angeles County. The information provided is based on the Scabies Prevention and Control Guidelines Acute and Long-Term Care Facilities which was updated in 2015.

The toolkit contains the following materials to assist health care facilities in managing scabies outbreaks and educating health care workers on identification, transmission, signs and symptoms, and treatment of scabies.
